Four tasters at the Ardbeg Distillery in Islay, Scotland drank samples of whiskey that had aged for almost three years aboard the International Space Station. The journey to this cosmic taste test began about a dozen years ago, when the Ardbeg Distillery sent samples of its single malt scotch whiskey to the ISS aboard a Russian Soyuz rocket.

During the tasting, they compared the samples of ‘space whiskey’ to whiskey that had matured in a similar way here on Earth.
